Very good analysis of the BA, I personally don't use it as there is many many restrictions in using it, that most of time get it failing. I use only 1 image on my boxes, the DE-OpenBlackHole 1.4 where I don't need IPTV, and the OpenPli 4.0 IPTV from MastaG in the other boxes that works flawlessly, but just be careful of the Flash available, as if you have less than 1 Mb available the box will behave very strangely !

Last Version of BA 11.3 doesn't work smoothly with DM800se + V2 , 500HD + V2
Because file (Nfidumo) to extract images was beta and expired now ...
Read in first about it ... You need to change files to Nfidumo 0.4.0 ..
And after extract any image check it out if success extract or not from
/ba/ba/name of image
see inside folder (Is it all directory available ?!)
Then you can boot from that extract image ...

I've tried Barryallen on dm800se a8p and on dm800se sim2.10 boxes. I was able to get them work ok, but there were always a problem on them: after a while I got my usb pen filesystem corrupted and I had it to repair with linux filesystem repair tools. This happens always to me, just a metter of time.
I' ve tried different usb pen different sizes, ext3, ext4 formatting but no success. So I decide to use ItalyBoot multiboot. I had to put Italysat image in flash, but since that I could install all images in multiboot with no problem.
Only issue is that you have mount manually your usb device in the multiboot image or add it in the startup sequence in init.d

Patched BarryAllen working great on SatgreamGr and other PLi based images on DM8000 original sim.
It always install first hand and works after reboot flawless

I have a problem with my 1.5Tb WD internal hdd.

After install hdd is being locked by a process (samba timeshifting....etc - I can not figure out what) and will not be accessible for root image or any multiboot ones.

I fooled my root image to take a second USB stick as HDD and mounted my primary drive as hdd2. It worked and was still there after reboot.
However in multiboot images will disappear and the only available is BA drive.

Can you advise where I can look and check what process is locking my drive?

I confirm that main hdd drive mount disappear next boot after BA gets installed, I backup my root image and tried 5 times. PLi Device Manager or Mount Manager are not allowed to modify it.

Any tip or advise will be appreciated.

With latest barry allen, i cannot select in boot menu. Tried all 4 options in RC. All 4 masks.
How can i get it fixed?

Flash: Openpli 4.1 latest from Japhar.
BA: Peterpan, Openpli, OpenblackHole.

i have an temporary solution. I boot into the image and use the plugin to boot into another image.

I tried with both versions and after choosing the image that is on the pendrive (last BH) it starts but stays on the booting screen.

Try to install the Japhar Image as the Main image, then the other images on the USB Memory Stick.

I installed the last openpli and stopped again at boot.

Did you installed a Japhar Image as the main image into the Flash of the box ? And then the other images into the External USB Stick ?
