Hi

I just recently installed the DM800HD (Original) blackhole image that contains the Ferrari Addon manager.

The aaddon manager is not working, it does not display any categories or addons at all.
It's version 5.0.

Any tips, ideas?

Old version, after that one the FAM 5.1 was published and then later on the Japhar Addon Manager 5.2 (JAM 5.2) that you can find on the Plugin section of this forum.

Can you use it if you still have the original ferrari SIM installed? I cant get it working. So before putting more effort in it :-) it would be nice to know that it can work

JAM works with any sim and any image, naturally you have a OE1.6 / Python 2.6 version (mipsel) and a OE2.0 / Python 2.7 version (mips32el), so you have to be sure of which one you install.

I will try again tonight. It has been years since I worked on the box. Things change so some is new to me (or forgotten). I ordered a new Japhar Sim to avoid futher issues :-) But for a quick repair on this end, I installed DE OpenBlackHole BH 1.4 and this runs OK, Not sure wich SSL version I used(many years ago). Except for the addon manager. I remember installing the FAM 5.2 IPk using Telnet and it returned an error. (it was late and i forgot the message). Could you point me in the right direction in what to install in what order? would be very much appreciated. Kind regards, Arnold

Yes, here is the link to the new FAM, that is now JAM 5.x, you have all instructions to install depending of the version, the DE-OpenBlackHole 1.4 is OE1.6, and new images OpenPLi 4.0/5.0/6.0 etc are OE2.0 (but you need the Japhar Sim for the new images). So you can select which version of JAM you want to install,

and it looks to be succesfull, but the addon manager stil says 5.0 in the menu,and still gives the addon download failure. Is there something I overlook? I rebooted without result and I did a fresh install and repeated the procedure... I think I am close to get it working... If you have a suggestion to get me on the way it would be great, maybe use another image??

On DE-OpenBlackHole 1.4 there is 2 to install the built-in and the Plugin one, be sure you install both as explained on the topic,
