and what if image doesn't have feeds? for example openpli for dm8k
is there any way of adding openvpn via original openpli repository?

You can change the files in /etc/opkg to point to the feed repository of your choice. All Japhar Team compiled images have their feeds, for example OpenPLi 7star have their repository. Other images that are not Japhar Team, only patched to Japhar, it depends of the support of their development team. You can always find the ipk files in the forum or via google search. Important is that it's same architecture (MIPS, ARM, etc) and generally for the same box as using software for DM800HDse on a DM8000HD could not work. TS and what if image doesn't have feeds? for example openpli for dm8k
