Backup tool for Vuplus NFI images including USB Support

With this tool you can backup a .NFI image and also supports a USB backup image. You can then flash the generated backups to another receiver.

Both the backup in the form of IFN-file for direct flashing with VuUtil as well as the three known files including the folder structure needed for USB Flashing variant generated automatically. The restore of a so-called backup image is the same as a normal image, so I can save myself at this point, a description, because I assume that everyone should get along with them.

As always, the use of the tool at your own risk and without liability.

1. Download and extract to your desktop the attached enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-vuplus-nfibackup_1.1_pli_mipsel.ipk

2. FTP enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-vuplus-nfibackup_1.1_pli_mipsel.ipk to /tmp/

3. Open a telnet session to your VU+ Duo.

4. Install using the command below: -

ipkg install /tmp/enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-vuplus-nfibackup_1.1_pli_mipsel.ipk

5. Restart Enigma2.

6. Go to plugins and select VuPlus NFI-Backup.

I have tried all those but cannot install any.
Duo says errors on each one.

It depends of the image and the version OE1.6 or OE2.x,

All we have is here, and there is few versions for few type of configurations. If none of them works, then we have nothing else.

But I am pretty sure one of them will work... up to you to try. Some images doesn't support ipk, but only deb, etc... so in such case you have to unpack the ipk and just copy the files.

At least the 2 last should work.

- OE 1.6 :

- OE 2.x :
enigma2-plugin-extensions-backupsuite_11.1_mips32el.ipk

Managed to create full back up with TS_BackUpIMG01_VUduo_USB_bh.tgz
Thank you very much!
Took about 7 mins to back up to HDD.
I selected "back up" in Duo menu and went from there.
Then I found the backed up files in: hdd/vuplus/duo.
I then put the files on a USB and restored to my other Duo.
I have a complete clone of my working system now.
