Dreambox DM8000HD and Japhar Sim

It's been a long time since I connected up my DM8000HD, is it worthwhile in 2020 to get the Japhar Sim for this older receiver?

If your DM8000HD is a clone and has a Ferrari Sim that is limited to the drivers from 2010, Kernel 2.6... definitely yes it's interesting as you will upgrade your box to the latest available DM8000HD Drivers from 2015 Kernel 3.2, and naturally all the latest images like OpenPLi 7.2 and others OpenATV 6.x, etc. Sim Japhar DM8000HD : https://jam3.japhar.com/japhar/index.php/product/japhar-dm8000hd/Admin

Thanks for the prompt reply, my DM8000HD is an original not a clone does this make it not worthwhile?

Your box can already have then the latest drivers and images, such as the OpenPLi, so just use the latest image and you will see your box is still a great box supporting the latest technologies including the TV over IP ! https://openpli.org/download/dreambox/DM8000Admin
