Which DM800HDse do you have ? V1 or V2 ?

Look at the bottom of the box, the Serial Number Sticker,

V1 will not show v1 version, only DM800HDse,



V2 will be indicated for the V2 model (DM800HDse V2),

Yes, you can try to recover the box with the NO CA ERROR tutorial, but you will be stuck with that sim that is no more supported since at least 3-4 years, and have old and doggy images... really better to do the jump to the Japhar sim for that box (your box will look as a new box !), and that way also you support the Forum and the servers that provide the feeds to all Japhar images ;o).

So I can use Japhar sim even if it is a DM800 HDse and not a v2?

Is it tricky to go from my chrached Sim "BIOS NO CA" to Japhar? If not so tricky I would like to try it.

Is it only to change Sim or have I to do some tricky updatings etc?

Yes, the Japhar sim is available for the DM600pvr, the DM800HDpvr, the DM800HDse v1, the DM800HDse V2, the DM500HD (v1), the DM520HD and DM525HD as well as DM900UHD.

It's easy to upgrade, same as changing the sim card in a smartphone or mobile phone. The procedure is very simple, and if you flashed into the box a Japhar image, you wil have nothing to do, just insert the Japhar and the box will work immediately without doing anything.

But in my case with BIOS NO CA FOUND, is it just to insert the Japhar sim without any further operations???

The Sim Holder is simple to replace (you have to break it in pieces gently to not break the 8 solder points in the two sides, and with 6 Euro you have a new Sim Holder, and the box will be like new.

Yes, the replacement of the sim is very simple, as a mobile phone. Naturally you have to gently open the sim holder. If you broke it it's possible to block it once you have the sim inside or better replace the sim holder/socket as it's only a 6 Euro part.
