Hi, I'm looking for a method to authenticate myself for remote streaming, I have enabled streams via http but the credentials it requires are the ones I set up for telnet connection to the device.
Is there a way to use other user and pass only for streaming?

It should be linked to the webinterface configuration, so check on the plugin the webif (openwebif) all what is related to the authentication. The webif could be different from the telnet/ssh/ftp user/pass.

Yes just tried, but are the same root/password setted for authenticate in telnet and web interface (80 port). What i am looking for is a way to change only the credentials for streaming (8001 port)

These are the same as root/password as default, but you can change them on the WebIf Plugin/GUI at what I remember and these will be only set for the webif that manages the streaming (will not change the root/password for telnet/ssh/ftp).
