Hallo zusammen,

versuche seit Stunden das 1.Startlogo (bootlogo-dm8000.jpg) da es mir nicht gef llt zu ndern.



Bisher habe ich es nur geschafft die bootlogo.mvi,
backdrop.mvi, bootlogo_wait.mvi Dateien zu ndern.

Gerne w rde ich das Bild hier als 1.Startlogo einf gen, aber wie?



Ich habe mehrere Anleitungen durchgelesen und alles versucht, immer nur schwarzer Bildschirm (1.Startlogo) wenn ich was ndere. Ich bin schon am verzweifeln.

Was kann ich noch machen, einige Infos zu meiner DM8000

Type the following comand from telnet
mount /boot -o remount,rw
delete all sym links from /boot
delete all *.mvi files from /usr/share including the sym links
then type from telnet
ln -s /usr/share/backdrop.mvi /boot/backdrop.mvi
ln-s /usr/share/bootlogo.mvi /boot/bootlogo.mvi
ln -s /usr/share/bootlogo_wait.mvi /boot/bootlogo_wait.mvi
copy the attached files to /usr/share

or

umount /boot (sometimes not needed)
mount -t jffs2 /dev/mtdblock2 /boot

and you will find files that should be the one you want to change, keep the exact same size/format/definition/color/dpi

bootlogo-dm8000.jpg
bootlogo-dm8000.elf.gz

Format : 72x72 DPI, 1280x780x24BPP (16.7 Millions colors 24 bits per pixel)

Then to change the boot logos just find ones you like on the net and replace the files in /usr/share if you dont like the ones I posted

You cal also use this Utility.

1: select a file. JPG 1280 x 720 and then convert it into. MVI
2: send to your Dream FTP

WARNING: This version only works with VU+ /Dreambox 800/8000

This all I tryed over hours no chance. The receiver also got stuck

mount -t jffs2 /dev/mtdblock2 /boot

and replace the bootlogo-dm8000.jpg image, by another image with exact SAME characteristics and naturally SAME filename.

Format : 72x72 DPI, 1280x780x24BPP (16.7 Millions colors 24 bits per pixel)

Format must be exactly the same, and same name of file replacing the old one (bootlogo-dm8000.jpg).

thanks but i give up, all time black 1.Bootlogo. 2 Bootlogo easy to change no problem.

Try to take the Various_bootlogo.rar file, on my reply, and extract the jpg, rename and test if it changes and works.

It if does, then it means the format of your image is not accepted by the box... but as you see it's possible to create few of them.

Before I turn around and my precious free time continues to waste my request to you, my question to the image creators.

Is it please possible to insert the picture shown here into this image as a 1st start/boot logo and a 2nd start/boot logo, if so who can I do it for ?
