On some firmware it works well, on others it does not see the dvb-c, dvb-t2 tuner, it's not the problem, so far everything is fine.

With this Japhar sim can you go from V1 to V2 ?

The Trial/Triple tuner driver (in fact it's 1 tuner, and you use 1 only, cannot use 3 simultaneously) is not compatible with all images. There is a trick setting up the xml file inside, to avoir this issue, you have all explained on that tuner posts on the Driver section.

Personally I prefer to have a single Sat Tuner on the box, and a USB Tuner (Terrestrial) on the USB port, this way I have real 2 x Tuner.

For the difference of the v1 and v2, it's hardware differences, more RAM and more Flash... On v2 you have 512 Mb Flash and 1 Gb RAM... on v1 you have 64 Mb Flash, 128 Mb or 256 RAM. So changing the sim/software will not upgrade a v1 into a v2 as it's hardware related.

Thanks for the very good answers , I used that trick on DM800se sim 2.2, I didn't like it.
I use Vu+solo2 tuner on usb ( GENIATECH MyGica USB TV tuner Stick T230C DVB-C T2 DVB-T HD ) , works very well .
The same tuner on the DM800se does not want to work , I installed the driver, I put it in and it doesn't want to be manually ..... under any circumstances .

If it doesn't want to work, then the image is not compatible, with the tuner/driver. You should change image to find one compatible... or your trial/triple tuner is defective.

I remember that on DM800se sim2.2 I had the same problems, but with DreamElite firmware it worked.

In the coming days I will try other firmware, to find something that is ok.

There is two different families of images, the DMM and the Open (OpenPLi/OpenATV etc).

The DreamElite is a DMM such as Nemesis, NewNigma2, etc.

The driver was destinated to the DMM images, but it worked on some Open (but not always, the trick of the satellites.xml file was useful).

On that list you have Open images (OpenPLi, OpenATV, PurE2, BlackHole, etc), and DMM images such as NewNigma2.

DMM support stopped many years ago for the DM800HDseV2, and the enigma2 is at least 5-6 years old, and perhaps even more...

Open images (including the enigma2 for open images) are very new, still from 2020.

Generally the patch is not too difficult if you have images for other sim for DM800HDse V2, you need to replace the SSL (flash image and flash the SSL for your sim, eg SSL89J for Japhar) and the bcm7405.ko file in /lib/modules/.../extra.
