I have DM800HD with Japhar Sim. It is possible to change this sim for DM500HD and how, if possible ?

Yes it is possible to reflash the Japhar Sim for any box that is supported. You have few ways.

1) Your Japhar sim is inside a box (on the socket on motherboard).
- You will need to use the JAM ("Support Japhar Sim v3-v5-v6"), to flash with the Sim with the option "Japhar Sim Card Flashing DM500HD v6". Your sim in the box will be reflashed for DM500HD.

2) Your sim is on a smartcard support (you put it back to the support), you will have to insert it on the frontpanel slot as a pay-tv card, and go in the JAM menu "Support Japhar Sim v3-v5-v6" and at the end select "xFrontSlot Sim Flash DM500HD v6".

3) You use a PC/SC Smartcard programmer/reader, you will have to download the files from the forum and use a PC with the reader to reprogram the sim (See below for needed files). See for files : http://www.ourdreambox.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=18336

i have 2 boxes dm800hd orig. and dm500hd with ferrari sim inside. in this dm500 installed
openPli-4.0.-ssl87f with Japhar Sim(IPTV) WELCOME in it. List of iptv programs,in Plugins i have
Japhar Addons Manager 5.3. and i'm totally confused what can i install in box. Box was not mine so i don't know what is changing. Can you please tell me what box i have and what i can install in it.
i took some pictures but don't know how to put in topic. thx for your answer in advance.

You can install on the DM500HD Ferrari box only Ferrari images, but this means only Kernel 2.6 old... this means drivers from 2011.

It's highly recommended to upgrade the Sim to Japhar, so you can have access to all the Japhar Kernel 3.2 images... much much better, with latest drivers from 2016.

sat-programs only iptv. now i have problems with epg but i mannage with that. anyway i wonder why i have
japhar-addons-manager if sim was not upgraded. what if i tried install some addon. thx again

The JAM is a plugin, and can be installed on any image, and most probably the image you have is one that MastaG created with the Japhar Team few years ago, based on the Kernel 2.6.

The JAM is not exclusively working on Japhar images, it's a Plugin that has many tools inside that can be used with any images.
