You can flash an original image into a DM8000HD with Japhar Sim, but then before turning off/rebooting, you will need to flash the SSL84J. This done, when the box will boot you will have a black screen, that you can fix replacing the driver file to the one published for Japhar that is on the /lib/modules... folder (bcmxxxx.ko file).

This is the way to patch an image.
