Check the rs232 serial port with a program as wxp Hyperterminal or putty.
Use these settings..
Bits per second = 115200
Data bits = 8
Parity = None
Stop bits = 1
Flow control = Xon / Xoff
Check if you receive the data from the box, and also if it's readable.
