Q. How do I know which ferrari sim I have?
A. by looking in the receiver, it's placed before the smart card reader.
With a flashlight you can maybe see it through the cooling holes of the upper cover.
But because you talking about the ssl87, which I assume you mean ssl87F, than I think you have a ferrari card.

However, this is not the latest ssl, ssl88F is the latest ssl for the ferrari box.

But for the certainty, I added a picture that shows different sim cards.

Q. issue it doesnt matter pressing the ON button or not..
A. The front push button option depend on the image file, not the ssl (bootloader) file.
If the image file doesn't have this piece of data (what sometimes happens), it will not work.
Solution is often to take a older image file.
This can just be used, even if you have a higher ssl bootloader.
Then the front push method should work.
