DM900 Original

HI Guys,
I just did a s/w update for the release version 06.12.2020 via the Menu on my 900 original and it is now unresponsive.
There were 42 updates, first Option was "install and Reboot" this option was tagged as "recommended".
So i am assuming it should be SAFE.
The Box switched itself OFF and then Black Screen... NOTHING is happening at ALL.
When I press the Remote to switch Box on the Red Button Flashes
the "openPli start screen Logo" is visible for 1 min then the Box goes Black.That's it game over!!!!
Any ideas?

We upgraded openssl to a compatible version to allow the use of CI+ plugin (to keep compatibility with "OPENSSL_1.0.0" label).

Most probably it's better to reinstall it from the new version (2021.01.12). See link below.

Hi Guys,
So I am trying to Set up my DM900 Original with a new Flash.
After this update via Box it has crashed, and ONLY reacts as I wrote/mentioned above.
NOW I cannot even get into the Box to Flash
On the Display at the bottom it shows
"Rescue Mode" http://dm900/ ......NO IP address.!!!...what is happening now?

OK Guys,
I will reply to myself. here is the solution.!

I took a LONG Ethernet Cable (25mtr) and went from the dm900 directly to Router.

After Logging into the Router, I took the DM900 assigned DHCP address, and connected openWebif with the new IP address.

Then I just Flashed the latest version from here:- Tks TS

Although I left "save settings" ticked on, it still DID not load any settings at ALL. so I will have to go and Set it ALL up again.

I can ONLY conclude from this experience that the "Updates via Box are NOT safe" and I will NEVER again do one.
