Remember that if for login there is no password, then you can use only Telnet and FTP. SSH/WinSCP in SSH mode can be used only if you setup a password.

And which sim is on your box, Sim Japhar for DM52xHD or Sim 2.30.

hello, I downloaded from MEGA with your link, it was November 24, I do not remember ... Some browsers are buggy (explorer, safari, etc), Chrome/Firefox work to login via the japhar.com page, on the older/others you will need to use ourdreambox.com.

We are Japhar Sim Forum... not Sim 2.30 forum. Contact your supplier for support. Japhar has it's own sim for DM520HD... FYI.

This image had file/folder permission issue affecting ftp.

find / -user 1001 -exec chown root:root {} \;
reboot to allow ftp to start properly

Just correct it and ftp will be working

How do you connect with which tool ? SSH/PUTTY ? If yes, this is normal you NEED to connect via Telnet protocol when there is no password. Then set the password and you will then be able to go via SSH.

i install putty i set ip on host name and connect with telnet say login i put root and password leave blank but again say login incorrect

Are you sure when you set Putty, you put it in Telnet mode, port 23 ? Japhar images are with no password, but naturally with username "root", then no password.

Yes you can use the Japhar sim that was flashed with DM800HDpvr OS, with Japhar DM520HD OS with a Smartcard reader PC/SC as the GCR2 Reader available on Japhar eShop.
