SuperSim Japhar DM800HDse: OpenPLi 4.0 IPTV v16 - 04/06/16 04:02 PM

Installed. Installed plugins, cam, extended memory and all working.
Almost.
No updates and IPTV Player give:

Fatal Error!
Your Openssl is not supported.

No one of components can be downloaded.

Deleted 116.00.01.00 and installed 115.00.01.01. Updated (from configuration) to 116.00.01.00 and working. The software updates are working too.
Your opinion ?

Did you applied a Flash of the clean image or just the online update ?

Looks like the the IPTV Player is not capable of supporting newer versions ;o) ? Or did the install of the 115 downgraded the OpenSSL ?

Probably then we have to get an IPTV Player new version that supports new OpenSSL, I am sure it will come very quickly ;o)

Of course was a full flashing. The only problem is now the sentence in your mail.

Feel free to post images on all your satellite forums you like and share with all your friends these excellent tools and new images with full IPTV support, the best around, even better than on original boxes !!!

I must think what to say to users in another forum about. In the meantime i can tell only what i done for resolving but i prefer a better answer.

This Quote is from our email, and not my precedent answer ;o)

At what I can deduct of your description of the problem the IPTV Plugin seems to fail with newer OpenSSL, so it really looks like it's an IPTV Plugin error, we have no control over the source code of other people plugins. For me, the IPTV Plugin author will soon fix that issue as he didn't thought about using newer OpenSSL with his pulgin.

In the same time, we naturally advised MastaG about this incompatibility probably due to IPTV Plugin not supporting newer OpenSSL versions... or limiting the use only to a specific version (that looks like more the situation to me).

Of course dear Admin. The quoted text is from the mail received from the site and is not related to your answer. I only tried to understand where is the problem and to help by describing the solution i found until the incompatibility will be solved. I hope you understand that reading the "feel free" i posted the links in another site and i asked for some help if someone there will ask me about. I have no idea if is the same for other DM boxes or only 800se and i can't check. In the meantime changing the IPTV Player works and this is enough for me.

Thank you, absolutely no problem, yes, the important now I think is that the Author of the IPTV Player is aware/knows about this problem, and should probably fix it by next version. As to me it looks like more a version check of the OpenSSL by the plugin and if it's not as expected by the Plugin, it stops... but this should have been planned normally on the Plugin source/code. Bugs happen naturally ;o).

Sure feel free to post on other forums about that issue, this generally helps the author to be aware about it, as well as post your "solution to fix it" that can help members who could face the same issue as well as the author to understand where is the bug.
