DM800HD image for tuner and Tivusat card + iptv

Hi

I have a DM800HD with new japhar sim - i have iptv working on it but recenty got my 2 satellitel connections fixed but tuner is not being picked up by my current image (its new since last time tuner was active)

Any help gratefully appriciated

Also while im here the image will need to support Tivusat card reading

You can install any of the Japhar OpenPLi images for DM800HD, and then for example install any of the CCcam 2.2.0 or 2.2.1 or 2.3.0, these will read your Tivusat card (183D).

First you will need to install the SoftCam Plugin if it's not available (Blue Button), and then you will install the CCcam 2.2.1 that will recognize your Tivsat card 183D.

Try the various available images, with your box. If none of them works with the Tuner, then probably your tuner has a problem. You will have to see the hardware section then.

my tuner has been tested by installers and working - strong signal

my current image is not allwing for other images i tryto install

for example

the image above states the image im tyng to isnatll is an ivalid platform or outdated

When you try to flash an image based on SSL84x, and your SSL is older, you need to first flash the SSL84J only, then reboot the box and flash the new image.

When i try istall SSL84J it states

INVALID IMAGE (OR OLD VERSION)

You will see which version you have when you boot the box on the LCD little screen, it will show you the version of SSL. Or if you go in WebInterface mode to flash images.

The "INVALID IMAGE (OR OLD VERSION)", means you are flashing wrongly the file. The file is not for your box model (Don't mix DM800HDse and DM800HD, these are 2 different boxes) or you flash a full image and not only the SSL84J file as you should when your box has an older SSL than the version 84.

How do I check my japhar sim is actually working/configured?

I had this setup running fine before upgrading sim and changing image

If you already boot with SSL84J showing on the LCD of your DM800HDpvr, then it seems ok.

If you have DM800HDpvr box, be sure you use the right images, from the DM800HDpvr section,

If IPTV works, then Tuner should work. If it doesn't then I would bet it's a problem of the Tuner itself (not recognized by the drivers most probably. If drivers would not work due to clone, then both IPTV AND Sat would not work).

When did you bought the Japhar Sim (I don't find you on the buyer list), so I can check if you got it for your box (and not another box), and which version of the OS was flashed into it, but it should be OK for DM800HDpvr.

various images tested and all show tuner none

when i try line on a freesat receiver signal is fine

any idea?
i can t see any button or instruction to type on Satellite setup when tuner shows as none

i copy a satellite.xml in etc/enigma2 each time i update an image
i also flash the ssl84j each time which allows for the second tuner to appear - but it also shows as none

If you want to modify / patch an image yourself, generally you need to know what you do, as changing the SSL is often not enough.
