ERROR after flashing OpenPLi 8.X star 20230624 - 03/25/24 06:27 PM

Hello, I tried to flash my 8000HD with japhar supersim, with the OPENPLI8.X star 20230624 but after the reboot it shows ERROR on the display and I cannot access it anymore.

I was using an older OpenPLI 8. image, backup saved in the DREAMbox memory card.

Wath should I do?
- Connect ethernet to the router
- connect rs232 directly Dreambox to PC
- use dream up
- then????

Should I flash a specific image or what?
Very glad if you could help me to figure out.

Grazie! :-)

We published two images with some days difference 20230624 and 0617, we published then TWO images, one for the Japhar and one for the Original,... did you flashed the one of the 17 ? As the one of the 24th is OK for Japhar

It was better to flash this week new image below (March 2024)
http://openpli8xstar.japhar.net/OpenPLi8xstar/openpli-enigma2-8xstar-dm8000.nfi

The best way is to use the JapharFlasher to recover it... with RS232 cable with a Laptop/PC with WindowsXP with a real RS232 port.

But if you had a working Japhar image and you are sure you have a Japhar sim (Not Ferrari), then try to remove and reinsert the sim, as this could be due also to a false contact between the sim and the motherboard.

Hi and thank you for your fast reply.
I have a Japhar sim and I was running OpenPLI 7.3.
I first flashed the 20230624 and before I could get the indication it was loading, I tried to load the 20230617 and I got the reply the image is older then the one loading (me IDIOT).
I waited for the proces to complet and after the indication reboot now, I hit reboot.
Now I go and search the JapharFlasher tool and try to flash the image you linked and see... then I'll post the result.
As last possibility, I+ll open the box and try to remove and reinsert the sim.

The 20230617 file has the two versions, the Japhar and the Original, so it's highly probable that you flashed the original nfi,

JapharFlasher : http://www.ourdreambox.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2012#Post2012

So use JapharFlasher, and flash the Japhar SSL84J, and then flash the image you want again (the one of this week of 2024 probably is the best, see our link).

Admin thanks, the fix you suggested was successfull;-).
There was no need to flash the SSL84J, I just lunched the Japhar Flasher and then the OpenPLI March 2024 and now the box is up and running.

I had a small problem connecting to the Dreambox with my usb to serial adapter, since I do not have a pure serial on my notebook, but after installing the newest drivers, I was able to enstablish the connection via COM15 port and Flash the image.

Thank you once again for your very appreciated support!
