- Wifi drivers have been refactored a bit, I don't auto-load the rt7777 anymore.

You have to select the right ipk, for your box (VU+ Solo ?), and you need to install the usb one and the a867. See last posts on the topic, copy the 2 files in /tmp, then "opkg install *.ipk". It should be ok.

Known issues:
- On spark7162 (and 7111 probably as well) fragmented streams such as hls (m3u8) will skip and freeze a lot.
This happened sometime after the official Gstreamer 1.8.0 release and I didnt found the cause yet.
It is not related to the dvbmediasink since it doesnt happen on mips receivers and the code in the dvbmediasink didnt change.
Configure your streams to play with exteplayer3 instead, read below.
- * On the 64MB Dreambox models (DM800HD, DM800Se and DM500HD) there is not enough space to ship ffmpeg.
This means that exteplayer3 and gstreamer1.0-libav arent installed as well because they depend on ffmpeg.
See my attached guide to copy over the root filesystem to a storage device.
- Some Dreambox remotes may behave very sensitive.
This causes button presses to register multiple times instead of just once.
As a workaround you can adjust the key interval:
Go to: Menu - System - Input devices - dreambox remote control (native).
Set "Change repeat and delay settings" to yes
Set "Interval between keys when repeating:" to 200ms or 300ms.
Press green button (OK)
Now set the same delay for: "dreambox advanced remote control (native)" as well.
- DM800 first boot will take a while, please be patient. The next boot will be faster.

Thanks for the hard work from mx3L and samsamsam you can now play your IPTV streams with exteplayer3 or gstplayer instead of the default dvbmediasink.
Especially using exteplayer3 will give much better performance on playing HLS streams compared to gstreamer + dvbmediasink.
For example, playing DJING underground 720p never worked very well on my DM800HD and now it does

You have to install the Cam software from the JAM 5.2, as every image has it's own scripts. If you install by hand you need to do all properly, or use the ipk from the JAM 5.2. It works fine if you do it properly.

About the "no video" thing, all depends of your configuration, and if you have your subscription card on the slot... so I let you check what helps you with the CCcam.cfg as here we don't support it. We only support good working Linux Images based on Enigma2.

I've tried several channel lists several times over, rebooted the box - doesn't wor for me.

That image works fine. Control that you setup properly the satellites. This is v3, try the v2 instead as well as some clones are not capable to run v3 drivers.

It took me a while since I was very short on time and I had to re-install my build-rig, move to a new feed-server etc...

Flash extender for DM800, DM800Se and DM500HD:
Since these receiver only feature 64MB of internal flash space, I ve been unable to ship all packages.
ffmpeg, exteplayer3, gst1.0-libav, mediaplayer2, iptv player, subssupport etc.. are missing due to insufficient space.
That s why I ve created a simple PPanel script for moving the entire internal flash to an external storage device such as internal hdd or usb disk.
The PPanel will also install all the missing packages for you.
So you can have all the bells and whistles like the other receivers

However please note that:
- It will format your storage device thus deleting everything.
- It s not compatible with other flash-extenders such as barry alen, multiboot etc...
- You ll need a working internet connection when running the PPanel or else it cannot install the missing packages.
- You need to patient! As the script runs you ll only see a black screen which an take up to 15 minutes depending on the size/speed of your storage device and your internet connection.

You can find it under Blue Panel -> PPanels

ServiceApp and exteplayer3:
Thanks for the hard work from mx3L and samsamsam you can now play your IPTV streams with exteplayer3 or gstplayer instead of the default dvbmediasink.
Especially using exteplayer3 will give much better performance on playing HLS streams compared to gstreamer + dvbmediasink.

In a nutshell here s how it works.
In your /etc/enigma2/ directory you have your channel bouquets with the .tv and .radio extensions.
Inside these files there s this for example:

By default this will play with the gstreamer dvbmediasink (which is currently broken for sh4).
If you like to play your stream with exteplayer3 instead you should change the 4097 to 5002, like this:

You can also change it to play with gstplayer using 5001:

So it s like this:
4097 = default player, which is the dvbmediasink if serviceapp is not enabled
5001 = gstplayer
5002 = exteplayer3

Now let s say you d like to convert your entire bouquet to play with exteplayer3, simply login to your receiver with telnet/ssh (use PuTTY for Windows).
And issue to the following commands:

First stop enigma2:
init 4

Then change your bouquet to make all streams play with exteplayer3, lets say userbouquet.favourites.tv:

cd /etc/enigma2
sed -i s/^#SERVICE 4097/#SERVICE 5002/g userbouquet.favourites.tv

Then restart enigma2:
init 3

That s it !

You can also make exteplayer3 the default backend for playing back everything.
Go to Menu -> Plugins -> ServiceApp and set exteplayer3 as default.

Keep in mind that with exteplayer3 or gstplayer as default backend you will not have support for external subtitles yet (.srt for example).

That s why I ve added MediaPlayer2 and SubsSupport from mx3L.

We will generate a v2, but once we are back and have the box to do it. The online feeds are no more available because we moved to a new faster server, as well as you need to reflash the image because we added many things since.

Did you install also the previous file ? As there is 2 files to install, then reboot the box to see if it appears.

Also if you installed wrong drivers before, it would be necessary to do it from a clean new install, as having various drivers installed could be corrupting the image or the behavior of the image/firmware/software.

It shows you how to install the driver, the driver is 2 files, ipk.

If you continue as per your example to try to install DM drivers into VU+ hardware... it will never work !

There is no aliens, just you need to do things correctly and not mix all. You cannot use DM drivers on a VU+ box... and even you cannot use drivers for a different box (eg. VU+ Duo drivers on a VU+ Solo)... so you have to be precise and install properly things, as well as not install the wrong drivers then try to install the right ones leaving the old ones on the box... so you need to do a clean install before installing the right drivers.

P.S.: We don't post the hundred of files for all drivers and all boxes at every compilation of the image. These files are on the FEEDS. And you NEED TO INSTALL THEM from the FEEDS. There is hundreds of DVB-T Dongles, so we cannot have them all and even not the tens of Chinese Dongles.

As I can see, we are both trying to help you, me and Admin, but you cannot expect us to take the plane and go to install the dongle you have bought for 10$ in china.

We are giving you all details and how to install the drivers, we don't joke with you, we give you all tips as for every member on the forum. But it seems that you are lost and with ALL the infos and details we gave you, all members would have done the install.

Read again all what we told you and do it as explained, it should work. But yes, definitely we don't have and cannot have the hundreds of dongles that are and were sold on the past 10 years.

Information is full source code of the driver, once you have full source code you can post here (Generally a few Mb archive file with C and ASM files inside). As anything else is just useless.

Images are different images and every driver needs to be compiled for the image it is used with.

If the current driver on the image doesn't work, we don't have the possibility to use drivers from other images. The only way is to get the source code from the working driver and compile it for the image.

You cannot use driver from one image into another one.

How to install a DVB-T stick with OpenPLi 4.0 IPTV ?

You need to know which chipset/dongle you have, then you can easily with 4 commands do all the job, you will need to send them with Telnet/SSH,

opkg update
opkg install --force-overwrite v4l-dvb-module-dvb-usb
opkg install --force-overwrite v4l-dvb-module-dvb-XXXXXXXXX
reboot

Where the v4l-dvb-module-dvb-XXXXXXXXX is the name below of your chipset/dongle.

Then to load the module for example do this :
modprobe XXXXXXXXX (= Module below, eg "smsusb")

or

insmod smsusb.ko
insmod smsmdtv.ko

The table of the Dongles recognized is (in green the name to add to the 3rd command above).

If you read the title of the topic we gave you as example, the topic was about the A867 as example. Then you have to deduct the proper name depending if its for DM or VU, and naturally which chipset you want to install that is in your DVB-T Dongle...

So I don't see the point on reposting what we posted, instead you have to read it and deploy the logic to use and deduct what should be the name of ipk to install from the feeds.

The names of ipk/packages are different depending of the image these are built for, and naturally the chipset it target for installation... there is not one general name that works with all dongles and all boxes for sure. You need to logically deduct what it should be or check on the feeds on the box which one with grep is available for the model you need.

On our answers we gave you the name of the files for the A867 for VU+ and for DM. From these you should be capable of deducting what it should be.

The packages are on the feeds, you need to install with the command line as explained. You cannot use our drivers in other images that are not our images (like on an original OpenPLi 4.0 image).

it is easy to say that is not supported, but if this same usb key was working for years... there is something wrong here.

There is only that file for that image. If it installs, it's not "corrupted". Only person who can fix this is the author of the image who compiled it.

for sure i can not use this image if usb tuner is not working... but i have japhar dm500 /800 nad is so fast, compered with vu+solo...

because of this i took few hrs today in order to make usb-tuner work..

and openblackhole image is still with problems because of wrong skin...

But be sure that your comments are taken to the development ;o), so next step I think is that we will buy all the DVB-T Sticks around and check every driver. As the A867 is 80% of them (and perfectly working on all our images), the others we didn't checked them (yet).

now i downloaded openblackhole 0.6 and is working from first boot -- i did not need anything..

af9015 was way before than sky digital key...

openblackhole and blackhole, have the same source code for the drivers, so if it worked on BH as you told, then definitely on the official OBH, it should work.

But still the source code for the drivers is not public, so every team does his own.

No, there is something that is not compatible between the driver AF9015 and YOUR dongle. As other dongles worked.

You surely need to know that a Driver is not working with only 1 model of Dongle, but works often with tens of Dongles with the same chipset... so this means YOUR dongle is not working with the image driver from the feeds.

Naturally that indication has to be checked and if possible fixed to have a more widely working driver in our images.

Don't worry Kikan, and don't be sorry. We would love that all DVB-T would work, but it's a day by day work to get all working and patched etc... so your indication is helpful and we will take care of the issue.

openblackhole is quite nice, there is a lot of improvement from 0.1 version that i tested...
now usb-t is working automatically.

I will see how many times will crash when watching strange video like hdcams etc..

only openpli4 japhar can show me those movies without problems.. do you know where is the catch?

This topic is about OpenPLi 4.0 IPTV... not openblackhole or blackhole etc...

Concerning the OpenBlackHole IPTV from Japhar/MastaG, it's the first release so definitely in Beta stage and would need to be improved.

All players etc are built-in the image, so you cannot copy from one image to another... you need to use the image that has it built-in.

I do have an Vu+solo clone, v3 I think-its nothing written within or outside the box. I installed the OpenPli for v3 above and
it works. The prob is , that I cannot get the tuner recognized so no channals, no fun.
Is there anything I can do to get it working- driver or so?

the last 3 days I tested allmost all images I could find here
and on other forums -v2 and v3,v3a, without success.
The v2 get the above error message in the HT as above mentioned. The only v3a I get into the box proper working, but no tuner working. I am not shure what kind of clone I have actually? Any further idea what else I can do? Because

I drivers sono lanciati al boot, dunque ben prima che enigma2 si carichi, se rilanciare enigma2 non cambia niente e normale, un reboot completo deve essere necessario se c'e un problema di drivers.

fatto il tutto come metto il driver del DTT il decoder

non si avvia piu' ma il led del DTT rimane acceso blu che funziona,

non fa' piu' il boot,

mo provo la versione V2.

Devi istallare il driver dal JAM 5.x (con commandi opkg) e non istallare un driver che viene da un altra parte... solo quello delle Feeds dovrebbe andare,

fatto il test da JAM 5 quello per 500hd e anche da addon non funziona

provato anche da soft tasto verde i driver della 867 di sky

ma nulla,

ma scaricando da JAM 5 mi si blocca il decoder al riavvio.

Fa sempre un reboot quando istalla una chiave DTT... dunque l'hai lasciato fare i suoi 2 reboot per che faccia tutta l'istallazione della chiavetta ?

Non blocca il decoder, fa modifiche (scarica i files da internet, poi gli istalla) e poi fa un reboot, poi fa altre modifiche e rifa un reboot. Tutto questo prende tempo... non succede tutto in 2 minuti, devi lasciarlo fare tutto questo.

Se l'hai bloccato in mezzo a un update come quello, devi riflashare il box con imagine pulita e ricominciare da capo.

Devi istallare SOLO dalla sezione supporto dell'imagine, dunque OpenPli 4.0 IPTV, dentro hai lista chiavette/Dongles DVB-T...

Generalmente e sempre meglio usare i drivers dai feeds, perche sono compilati con l'imagine, altri drivers sono di altre versioni dell'imagine e dunque non sono mai garantiti di funzionare al meglio... in 1 anno tante cose possono essere state cambiate... i drivers di cui parli sono del 02/29/16, siamo nel 04/../2017

Trovato due punti interessanti, le ultime imagini (Daily Build) avevano un bug nel link dei feeds, dunque questo lo sto risolvendo adesso, e dopo avere istallato i drivers, la ultima versione fa anche la stessa cosa che dici, per me il DVB-T non e disattivato da Enigma2 e poi quando si rilancia non c'e la fa piu ad attivarlo (perche gia attivato)... dobbiamo guardarci da piu vicino. Dunque i vecchi drivers o i nuovi hanno bisogno di un full reboot (provato con chiavetta A867).

LA seule question est... c est une Ferrari et quelle version de chip ? Controler dans la boite le chip.

Il faut demander a qui tu as achete ta box de te donner une image, si nos images qui sont connues comme fonctionnant sur quasi tout le materiel, ne fonctionnent pas... alors il te reste plus qu'a demander a qui ta vendu ton recepteur.

Il faudrait deja controler les condensateurs et changer tous ceux qui sont gonfles... j'ai l impression qu il y en a au moins un des verts sur le cote droit qui est gonfle, a voir donc.

Ce n est pas un chip Ferrari, donc d'un autre type peut etre Dragonworth ou Lorinson.

V2 works sat tv signal , but is very long to boot from deep standby

Is your box a Ferrari VU+ Box or is another box from another manufacturer... ;o)

The seller said that V3Ferrari. V3Ferrari works fast but if deep standby is off include a remote control and no signal sat tv.If you disable electricity then turn on and everything works

If it was a real Ferrari V3, it would work with V3 images, so you got a box from another manufacturer.

It may be so. But the v3 I have is working fine .Only this one problem. I just wouldn't put to deep standby.I will not put in sleep mode

As wrote, if you want to use the images here with your box, use the V2 images.

ciao a tutti, non riesco ad installare a867 perché ho scaricato kernel-module-dvb-usb-a867_3.1.1-r0_vusolo.ipk ma non trovo kernel-module-dvb-usb che è una dipendenza e i feed sembrano non funzionare più... qualcuno mi può dire dove posso trovare l'ipk o se ci sono dei feed più aggiornati?
