Re: Dreambox DM800HD Original - 04/12/16 03:41 AM

Dream Multimedia stopped / RIP / EOL the DM800HD in 2013, and all development stopped then for original boxes. Because they wanted you to change your box to a newer one.

The latest OpenPli for Original boxes, is the OpenPLi 2.1 that you can find on the Official Website of OpenPLi here, so all other 3.0 and 4.0 were never built for DM800HD due to the EOL of the DM800HD in 2013. See here : http://openpli.org/download/dreambox/dm800/

You have the original images here, but naturally starting to become older and older : http://www.ourdreambox.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=104&page=1

Only Clone teams continued the support, but today EStar, Ferrari and Sim2 stopped that support. The only Team who continues support is the Team Japhar.

So if you really want your DM800HD to continue to work well and have latest software it's highly wished to upgrade to the Japhar Sim, and you will then have access to all the Japhar DM800HD SuperSim3 images, as well as all the Ferrari images and all the Sim2 2.01/2.10 images.

Here you will find all the images supported by the Japhar NC3 sim that you can find here, http://www.japhar.com/japhar/

Images for Japhar : http://www.ourdreambox.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=47&page=1

Have a good evening ;o)

Thank you, but here's the thing, I will give as openpli 4.0 with IPTV and GStreamer 1.6.2., the update over the web, but then it gets stuck in the boot and half over!

Re: Dreambox DM800HD Original - 04/12/16 06:50 PM

As explained, the images are built to run with the Japhar Sim, and we only can support with Japhar Sim as we have no idea why you have problems with other hardware/sims.

To be in the exact same condition as us, so we can give support as we can replicate your problem and find a solution, you need to have a Japhar sim in your box.

But you can still use this image version (with your DM800HD Original with Original sim) built with 1.6.2 GStreamer. The image is already a hell in advance compared with all other images for Original DM800HD boxes. If you want to use the latest image, you should think to upgrade your sim in your box to Japhar.

That's normal, you don't have enough Flash memory available, run the script or do some "cleaning",

Re: Dreambox DM800HD Original - 05/01/16 03:07 PM

Thanks!
In which folder to put the script file ?
Posted by: Admin

Re: Dreambox DM800HD Original - 05/01/16 04:07 PM

Just run it, you can also run it from the JAM 5.2 where we included it to have it easy for members (but be careful as it could remove your language from the box... so could be better if not IT/FR/GR/ES/UK/EN, to run the script omitting the right language for your country).

Re: Dreambox DM800HD Original - 05/01/16 05:42 PM

Sorry for the ignorance but I may be not so familiar how "just to run it.." I an used to have the scripts in the scripts folder and to run it from the DM . Appreciate if you can guide me how to "run" it...

Sure no problem ;o)

Copy the data from the box below,

Code:
#!/bin/sh
#
#Remove from /usr/share/enigma2/countries
#
cd /usr/share/enigma2/countries

But seeing your country of origin, that language was removed so here it is with your country of origin language as well kept (not removed as the precedent one).

So your country, as well as FR, IT, ES, UK/EN, DE are kept with that script. All other are removed.

So you copy the text from the second box above and then login into your box with telnet or ssh, and paste all that text into the console, it will do the job for you. You should then gain 3-4 Mb more of Flash.

Re: Dreambox DM800HD Original - 05/04/16 04:02 PM

Remove the folder crossepg in the /hdd, generally it is the reason of CrossEPG crash, needs to replace the old data files.

Re: Dreambox DM800HD Original - 05/05/16 01:21 AM

Do not have such folder.................
Posted by: Toysoft

Re: Dreambox DM800HD Original - 05/05/16 01:33 AM

If you use crossepg, in /hdd you have crossepg, or where you have crossepg data loaded, as per the configuration of CrossEPG.

Check the subfolder, /media that has inside the hdd, usb, etc.

I have the sub folder /media, but nothing inside.......

Re: Dreambox DM800HD Original - 05/06/16 04:52 PM

You then need to create a hdd (mkdir hdd)
