Hi I have installed kodi direct on my dm 800,it is very slow any idea how to speed it up

Where do you swap the RAM ? Perhaps using a fast Flash Memory stick could help to swap the RAM on it,

Hi I am using teleportation/universe on usb stick and loaded kodi on that,is that the right thing to do?

I think yes, but there is USB Flash Memory Sticks that are quicker than others, I would use the best one possible for such thing and probably as well setup a RAM Swap to hdd,
