DM800HDse hdd space issue

Hi anyone has any idea why i have 43gb free in the hdd i can copy from the hdd and delete but i cant copy to the hdd it says that has no space left this is really weird specially when i try to install a image on barry allen wont let me no space on left on device even tried to copy the nfi to th hdd mb_images through the dm800 windows network wont let me

Did you tried to use FTP to upload files into the HDD ? Try it, also try to copy files from HDD to HDD and from the Flash/Image into the HDD. As it seems that you could have Samba rights problems, check with the "client" you use to copy files inside the HDD... so try various other tools like FTP, cp, etc.

Tried with winscp filezilla from windows explorer like i said i can copy from the hdd to anywhere and delete i can't copy anything into the hdd neither create any folders what do you mean by Samba rights problems what could be the fix for that without having to format the hdd

What is the error message you get when you try to copy ? What happens ? How is the behavior of the error ?

Im getting this in all basically its the same no space on device

Can you copy internally from the hdd to the hdd with a "cp" command a file (via SSH or Telnet) ?

Also which exact image is installed on the box ?

Try to FTP a 1 kb file, so a very small file to see how it reacts.

I cant copy but i can move on winscp filezilla etc but copy nope i have the OBH v21 i think my only solution is getting the hdd out of the box make a backup format it and put it back in the box copy everything back might be the hdd dunno this is really weird

Yes, some corrupt data inside the HDD on the Folder/Directory tables ? Strange definitely. Yes your solution looks like the way to go... and keep a backup of all the files somewhere as well ;o), it's always better.
