How to Move to Japhar Sim ?

Hi,

I have CLONE (DM800se v2) with internal image (SatDreamGr8 for DM800 seV2 - sim2.20 ssl 88a).

I want to change the sim to Japhar, so:

Which sim is suitable to buy?
Is there any tutorial video or thread with photos to help for sim change?

Please help in details as much as you can due to the poor knowledge in this matter.

Hi, I replaced order yesterday, when can I expect it in UAE as per the used courier facility ? Is it coming with pre-programmed with OS V6 or should I do it while replacing it in my DM800 SE V2 (SSL88) ?

The Sim card arrives ready to be used, so it has already the right OS loaded for the box you selected. So you just have to replace it in the box doing the upgrade process explained on the topic / Tutorial below,

For the NFI File (ALL SIM SSL84), Should I flash it by the same way of flashing the internal image using the Web Interface flash (after pressing the front Panel along with Power button) & after flashing it, should I restart my Box or better to shutdown and start replacing the SIM Card?

There is no bad questions, we all learn everyday, and hopefully as otherwise we would not be on this earth anymore if we would not learn all the time ;o).

Yes, you will have to flash the ALLSIM SSL then turn off the the box. Then replace the sim and will be able to flash any Japhar image on your DM800HDse V2 box.

Remember one thing, the button on the back can be used ONLY when you have the old sim in the box, as it loads the SSL for that Sim to boot and flash the box. From the moment you upgrade to Japhar, you will have to use the frontpanel button as the original box to flash an image to the box in the normal way with the Web interface.

For Japhar (and all the other sim in fact), we developped the JapharFlasher, same as DreamUp, but for Japhar Sim. You can also use it if you don't want to use the Web interface.
