Anyone with the same problem?

thanks in advance!

If you flashed the image, the box will automatically select the RJ45 port.

If you want to set the Wifi, you need to set it as the connection used in the menu of the box.

When you are connected to the box, with telnet or ssh, send the "lsmod" command so we can find out which Wifi drivers is used for your Wifi chipset.

You need to flash this image, and let me know, as the OB3, I don't see it (which one you talk about ?).

Remember two points,

- The images are published with username "root" and no password (so you press enter/return when it ask for password.

- SSH or WinSCP will never work if there is no password. So you need first to set a password with Telnet to then use the SSH/WinSCP (WinSCP in FTP mode can work as FTP accept no password to login).

But do we talk about the same thing, or you talk about the Wifi Key/password to access your network ?

But do we talk about the same thing, or you talk about the Wifi Key/password to access your network ?

Or you talk about when you access the IP address of your box ?

Try to reflash the box with Bad Sector Recovery and the clean image, as it could have been corrupted. I seen such type of problem (of failure to login to the box with SSH/Telnet) only when the box had an image that was corrupted. A new Flash of clean image should fix the issue, also be sure you have enough Flash space left. Min 1 Mb must be left in the box to have it running smoothly.

its about the wifi WPA key. Normally i can enter it and it works. It connects. Now it does not.

Check, at what I remember there is 2 options, one is a "password" the other one is a "key". Perhaps you use the wrong one (it's a key and you put it as a password, or vice-versa). There is also various WPA, WPA2 and as well encryption methodes TKIP or AES or Both together.

You can always downgrade to TKIP only or AES only the encryption, try the different combinations.

have tried all the options:

WPA
WPA OR WPA2
Its not WEP or Not encrypted

but it says:
accespoint: no connectuion
SSID no connection
Quality 10/100
Signal strength 0 dbM
Bitrate 1 mb/s
coding: not supported

the weird thing is i can scan for networks and it finds the network which is WPA Personal.

So still having the same issue. Any suggestions?

Ok, the images OpenBlackHole IPTV and OpenPLi 4.0 IPTV have built in the Wifi drivers. Did you tried to install any drivers from the JAM ? As you should not. Installing the clean image should be enough to have your Wifi detected and installed/running.

But I need from you a copy of all text output when you send the command "lsmod", as on your image we cannot see much and most of the Wifi drivers are at the beggining of the answer of the command... I can see only this here that are Wifi drivers. See below. None of them are activated (all to 0).

I don't see any driver running (all Wifi to 0), so the best would be then to install my DE-OpenBlackHole 1.4 Image, and send the same command ("lsmod"), as well as "cat /proc/bus/usb/devices" and copy them here,

Here I have my DM8000HD with DE-OpenBlackHole 1.4, and here is the results I have, as an example for you,

Your screenshot shows more, so you have a Ralink, can be RT3070, RT5370 etc. As you see, it's set to 1.

Try to install the latest OpenPLi 4.0 IPTV, and I am surprised as I have another friend with the latest OpenBlackHole IPTV, that is running the RT5370 no problem on it.

As wrote before, reinstall a clean image, the latest, OpenPLi 4.0 IPTV as well as the OpenBlackHole IPTV to see how these react. Don't install any driver from any panel as all drivers are already built-in and automatically working.

The thing you can try is to remove the RT7777 driver from the /lib/modules/..../net/wireless/ that could be creating issues (?), as it's same family of chips as RT5370sta and then reboot.

I have the same type of box here, with RTxxxx chipset, we are going to take a look as what you describe happens to me as well with OpenBlackHole IPTV v22 image,

Try to see if the behavior is same on OpenPLi 4.0 IPTV v22... and let us know.

I have tried the drivers of Delfi for OpenPLi, but these are doing exactly the same issue, the RT5370sta is recognized, we find it on the scan and then setup the connection, but then it's no signal/no connection. Seems something is broken in the drivers so need to be patched for newer images/versions. Our driver was working few months ago. Try older versions of our image OpenPli 4.0 IPTV, and when you find one that works, let us know.
