The DM800HD Japhar NC3 SuperSim3, can run ALL Ferrari images, ALL Sim2 2.01/2.10 images and ALL Japhar images (but not DM original images, but we never know in future if we break the DM RSA Key as the Japhar Sim is reflashable !).

For the first time in years I've flashed a wrong image to my Ferrari sim.Problem I've got is I can't reflash anything to the box.I've tried the alternatives, 'Enforcer' and the 'DMRepair'.They either say file to big,calculating checksum or it doesn't communicate at all.
I've attached a pic of dreaumup connected to box.Just after any other ideas etc to try and resurrect this box

Probably then it's time to get a Japhar Sim ;o) from http://www.japhar.com/japhar/, the DM800HD is capable of running ALL Japhar images, Ferrari images and Sim2 (2.01/2.10). Just installing the Japhar Sim, your box will then boot smoothly... as a Japhar image is already loaded ;o)

At what I see, if this is the JapharFlasher, did you connected your Rj45 cable to the Router as well as the Rj45 or Wifi of your laptop to the same router ?

Also you need the Rs232 cable connected to the PC, and if possible with a REAL Rs232 port on your laptop.

If both points above are ok, then it should be fine, and you would restore it.

If you use a USB-Rs232, then most probably your problem comes from there.

Remember that with the JapharFlasher, you don't need any "unlock button" tool, as the SSL inside the JapharFlasher should work with ALL Sim, original and all clone sims. So if you don't get the button it means there is a connection problem (Rj45 or Rs232) and this cannot be fixed with "software trick" but only with proper cables/connections.

Did you validated the Rj45 communication/IP ? As for me it is not capable of switching from the Rs232 mode to the WebInterface to upload the data. Put both, box and PC to the same router, that's the best and easiest.

Probably the last resort to buy a new sim .DM800 is connected via RS232 to a real RS232 port on the PC,PC is connected to the same router but via wifi.

How do you go about 'validating' the rj45 communication/ip?

Please do me a full screenshot of the JapharFlasher when you try to flash the DM800HD box, and don't use any "tool", just run it and do the screenshot of all the JapharFlasher window when it stays/freezes so I can see all details at that point.

First thing you need to know is if your serial port is working.
Connect the box with a rs232 null modem cable, and check with a rs232 terminal modem software as Putty or Hyperterminal if the port still working.

And nearly forgotten to say.., Use wxp and a pc with a real db9 rs232 comport to flash the box.

Only got W7 and PC has a real RS232 com port which is working johnny

It's a big job, but I would go this way...

Install on your Win7 PC, VirtualBox (VM) and then WinXP on a Virtual Machine, then use your Com Port via that VM with JapharFlasher, and let us know how it goes.

You need to have both cables rj45 and rs232, and naturally the network/IP must be as well activated.

Tried using the 'standard Dreamup' and null cable and had the same issue so can't help but wonder if something is amiss with the box?

On your screen we see as i wrote that you didnt activated the network that must be activated...

Check the rs232 serial port with a program as wxp Hyperterminal or putty.

Use these settings..
Bits per second = 115200
Data bits = 8
Parity = None
Stop bits = 1
Flow control = Xon / Xoff

Check if you receive the data from the box, and also if it's readable.

I used putty when suggested it in a previous post Johhnyb,all working fine.I'll try those settings and give it a go,this thing has got me stumped!
