#1370 - 05/21/15 08:08 AM How to identify OE2.x images?

Just wondering how to identify which images are OE2?

Is it as simple as the version number starting with a 2?

e.g. SuperSim Japhar DM8000HD : Nemesis 2.6 112r3 Apr22

Regards,
Hoffy

Its mostly impossible to detect the OE version via the name of the image, as every team uses different ways to name them.

As Gaga24 advised, the Nemesis 2.6 is one of the best or the best image around supporting IPTV and very stable that is tipped in many places to be used for it's longevity and quality.

The other image that is very stable and available for many boxes (DM and VU) is the DE-OpenBlackHole 1.4 from Toysoft.

But there is few hundreds images available at present and many more very soon as WarLord and Toysoft, Japhar Team are working hard for the new generation of images for all us !

What differentiate OE1.6 and OE2.x is the Python version, the OE1.6 have Python 2.6.x and OE2.x have Python 2.7.x.

Thank you for clarifying that.

I have used Toysoft's image for many years and it was a great and full featured image.

Thinking I might give Nemesis a go once I get my box running properly again.

Cheers.

Dear Hoffy,

Thank you for your support. I am planning to work on and release a new DE-OpenBlackHole 1.5 that is same as the 1.4 but with IPTV also and Python 2.7.x (OE2.x) for DM8000HD/DM800HD/DM800HDse/DM500HD... stay tuned.
