Yes, this simcard was purchased, but unfortunately it has a 4 pin, while we have a 5 pin card reader.

The sim card has 6 pins, instead of 8 that is the old technology (2 were never used, so it's since day 1 in fact 6 pins). The Japhar sim is 6 pins as the latest generation in smartcards.

You need to install the sim in the box and not the frontpanel reader naturally. In the box there is the sim support or you can replace it. It really depends of the hardware you have (Original or Clone). Can you give me your order and VIP number as I dont find you.

Yes, I know that the wire rack is inside the front of the card reader. Replaced in original with IC.

After replacing the SIM, the device gives the SIM card an error.

Which VIP number do you have on the letter, and the box is clone or original ?

It looks like if the sim wasn't communicating with your box/motherboard. Did the other sim worked ? Do you have a smartcard reader and check the ATR of the old sim and new sim (and post here) ? You can use Toysoft's DM_Sims tool to get the ATR from the sim cards.

I put the log in. Master both the device itself and the device purchased both have a message and will eventually direct us to contact the Dreambox.

Ok, if both sim have the same result it's impossible that both sims are defective.

So next point is the motherboard, you can find more details about it on Johnny's Forum, jb8a8f8, he can tell you which component to check on the motherboard as perhaps just the 5 volt is not arriving, but it looks like to me different... as it says it finds the card...

Like if boot/SSL partition was updated to Dreambox SSL and not the clone SSL...

Can you post a photo of the motherboard here ? Just to be sure it's the clone motherboard and not the original motherboard (we never know). Also did you flashed a Japhar Image while you have the Japhar sim in the box ? Try and let us know for the log.

Perhaps reflashing the DM900UHD Japhar Sim into Dream Japhar OS version, we could avoid/fix this problem... do you have a PC/SC Smartcard reader ?
