Hi from Volos,

I have got a 2nd hand DM800se , because mine stopped working (3.3v problem) .
This DM800 works fine BUT does not let me access it ... refuses to let me connect to put "my Data" ... It gets an ip but can't connect dcc - telnet-putty etc
Apparently it is locked , I did a factory reset but no joy.
I was wondering whether
1. I can upload a new image NOT by dreamup or webbrowser BUT by (say) a bootable USB
2. How can I recognise if I also have the "Japhar Sim" (the writing I see on my is SIM 210 DM800SE 12207)

Your box has the Sim2 2.10, you can see below the photos, so you cannot use the latest drivers/images built for Japhar until you swap your old unsupported sim (drivers from 2013) with the Japhar Sim (latest drivers from 2015).

Concerning the password, if you don't have it and don't have the possibility thru the Feeds/Software Addon Manager (like JAM) to use a plugin tool to erase the password, you will have to completely reflash the box with one of the factory software/firmware/images available for your sim.
