I am going crazy. Gave up on the 800se that one is somehow broken.
Bought 2 800 se V2. I have already a working V2 with Japhar sim.
So i flashed a new one with Japhar image, got no ca. Solderd in a sim card , no ca anymore so ok.
It will not boot to image, it will boot in flash mode, so i flashed image again. still it wil not boot to image it hangs on boot screen
Flashed a working image from the other one, nothing.

Tried it .
No change .
Gonna try to connect the chip again .
Connected wires to the board so the sim holder can stay .
Perhaps the soldering of the sim holder not ok .

Yes, what you tell could be a possibility, as generally it freezes because it needs the Japhar Sim to compute calculations, perhaps not enough "power" (Amp) going to it ? Your wires are not too thin ? Or PSU problem ? Does the PSU works with the other box ?

It works fine .
Got the chip out , solderd the sim holder in .
Flashed it with japhar flasher , and browser ,file openpli-enigma2-8.0star-dm800sev2_Japhar_v6_GStreamer_1.18.3_20210611

Could it be that one of the connections to the sim is faulty ? so it does not flash the boot file ?
Or does it flash nothing at all .

I solderd it 3 times so it must be a connection on the mother board .
The chip works fine so the connections there are ok .
Which connection could be the faulty one ???
And can i make a bypass from the chip solder points ?
Are all connections to the sim used ?
Got the sim out a working v2 box .
Can i check the connection points in the sim holder with a muti meter ?
How to check the points ? and what values should it be ?
Wich soder points of the chip ,correspond with the solder points of the sim .

I can get it working the the chip but want the Japhar sim !!

I have given up on this one .
Found some points to messure . all ok
It just does not see the sim . put in an old ferrari sim ,no difference
no , no ca aerror ,nothing at all .
Just second fail .
Put the chip back al works fine . so no hardware problem there

i have 3 japhar sims .

I have another v2 ( i have 3 one is ok ) that i want to do , just think about it
or i still want to try that one .

for now take some time out , it is very tiring this work .

Tried the last V2 , same result , not working .
The first , some time ago worked .
I think a sim in a V2 does not work anymore .
Perhaps some firmware made a change , to block it .
Everything lookes ok but it won't boot .
Placing chip back and it works .
Sim is ok , works in the other box .

So you talk about using it on an original DM800HDse V2 box ?

There is two sets of Japhar drivers for the Original box. We had v6 and v6+ drivers (that are v5 upgraded to v6 compatibility). v6 drivers worked only on original boxes with Japhar Sim.

i have 3 original v2 boxes with chips no sim .

sometime ago i put a sim socked in one , got a japhar sim . put on openpli-enigma2-7.2star-dm800sev2_Japhar_v6_GStreamer_1.17.0.1_20191220
all ok

some weeks ago , got another japhar sim , and a socket , solderd it in put in openpli-enigma2-7.2star-dm800se_Japhar_v6_GStreamer_1.17.0.1_20200526
it did not boot , stoped at the dreambox picture , tried everything ,solderd wires with chip , chip back etc . til it did nothing not even
no ca . messured the sim socket . solderd the chip back that works

today the next one , solderd socket in . japhar sim in it .put in openpli-enigma2-8.0star-dm800sev2_Japhar_v6_GStreamer_1.18.3_20210611 ,
boot to dreambox picture , no more . put in got the other japhar sim out the working V2 . put it in : the same result ,boot to dreambox picture .
Put the chip back . that works . the sim out the box works in the other box .

Thats it , day's of work got me back to the start .

Can you check the MAC / Serials / Date of Production of the 3 boxes ? They could have added something to the Rom Boot...

I think we can work out some solution like for the DM7020HD, and the Japhar sim will work with your box.

I think we need to clone the MAC of your Original, and use it on the Japhar OS for that exact box. So we will need to generate the 2 OS for your two DM800HDseV2 boxes, so you have a Japhar Sim backup for each of them.

I gave it a last change , tried half a day , no luck .
Soldered the chip back but that is not working any more also .
Perhaps to much soldering . changed it 10 times or so .
Tried to flash several images , also boot images , about 30 times or so ,but nothing .
2nd failed . it does not seem to flash boot . it sticks at 87. That is what dreamup puts on it i think .
Optiflasher i am not gonna use , what a rubbisch support .
I tried 2.0.0.9 some times but no go . i would not use it if that was the last program i could use .
Its is sort of bricked .

I think boot flash failes , is the boot programm on the sim/chip or on a chip on the motherboard ?

You can use the JapharFlasher 1.1, that one is supporting as well the DM800HDseV2.

Also are you sure you used the right Japhar Sim with the right MAC address that is destinated to the box (it must be the same MAC as the original chip).

Tried everything of corse also Japharflasher . i can flash it , it does what it has to do ,
but it does not change the boot program ,nothing changes .

What ever i flash it does not stick . these files used to work ,i have 3 800V2 boxes .

The ALLSIM SSL87J will not work with drivers, and be sure you install on each box the Japhar Sim that has the same MAC address as the chip that was on it before.

You must flash the one I told you, secondstage-dm800sev2_SSL89J_v6.nfi then a Japhar image v6.

I think i found the problem .
One last time i put the box together and dicided to try some flashes.
And i got it working again with the chip .

The problem is , i think , that the flashing does not work ok ,with Japharflasher 1.1 it workes with boot 87 , and that connot flash a V2 .
But if you have other software than original Dreambox , DreamUP_1_3_3_12 wil not work .
You need 89 to program V2 .
So i programmed some software for original chip , newnigma and openatv , with that it still would not go in flashmode .
But DreamUP_1_3_3_12 worked now , so i programmed newnigma , then it was possible to get in flashmode the normal knobs way , i flashed openatv ,
i like that more , because it is closer to pli to make . And ok .

Flash Japhar before you put the simcard in , might work but i think i did that , once or twice it started up , but not al the way .
I ame not gonna try again , i have enough for the rest of the year , and for sure not with these 2 boxes .

Perhaps if i get another V2 !!!
