Guide

Take a look at our simple five step guide below showing how to use the channel settings downloaded on your receiver.

STEP 1

Download either the Engima 1 or Enigma 2 settings above depending on the receiver you own and save the file in a location you remember and have access to. Also download Dreambox Edit available above also.

STEP 2

Once you have downloaded the appropriate settings extract the contents of the .rar file into a folder. This can be done using a program called WinRAR (Windows) or The Unarchiver (Mac OS X).

STEP 3

Now open Dreambox Edit and click 'Tools' in the menu bar at the top then select 'Options'. Create a profile for your set top box. Enter the IP address of your receiver found in the network settings. Enter the username which is 'root' and password which is either 'password', 'dreambox' or empty as default. If you have an Enigma 2 receiver, click the 'Enigma2 settings' button on the right side. If you have an Enigma 1 receiver, click the 'Satellite receiver' button. Now click the tab named 'Advanced' and make sure 'Reboot Dreambox' option is ticked. Now click 'Save'.

STEP 4

Click 'File' on the menu bar then select 'Open'. Find the settings folder you downloaded and extracted from this website and select it and open it.

STEP 5

Now to send the files to the set top box. Click 'File' on the menu bar then select 'FTP'. Un-tick all the boxes on the FTP pop up page. Select the profile you created earlier for the 'Select IP Settings Set' box. Now click the 'Send Files To Dreambox' button and wait for it to say complete. Now click 'Reload Settings On Dreambox' and again wait for it to say complete. Finally click 'Reboot Dreambox' and you are finished!
