The easiest way is just to reflash the clean image into the box.

If you need to recover informations inside the box, you would then need to erase the password, with the JAM 5.2 you have inside scripts that can run and remove the password... but you need to have an image with JAM 5.2 built-in.

But the important would be to know "how all this happened" ?... to understand better the situation and then to be able to give you the most appropriate help.

You can then always remove the HDD from the box and insert it in another box, then copy the ipk for the password eraser or the JAM 5.2 that you can find on link below. Then insert back the HDD, or do it even with a Memory Stick that could be automounted to the box.

Then execute the ipk install (Generally there is often on the GUI the possibility to run scripts), you can always do a script like "run.sh" that contains the command "opkg install *.ipk".

Doing this you can run the ipk, install it (JAM 5.2) or run the password eraser ipk.

Or even simpler take the passwd file from /var/etc and do a script that copy it in /var/etc, from the hdd.

But this is possible if you are enough good in Linux, as this "way in" is easy with a hdd or usb memory stick.

Depending of the image, in most of them it should automount it as /hdd, and if you have the option of running a script you could create the script and ipk to run it or do just the copy of the passwd file into /etc and this would get you your box unlocked with no password,

Some OpenPLi mounts the hdd some not... difficult to tell. Just try and see if you see the files in the usb stick when you go on the media player, this will prove you if it's mounted successfully or not.

We have an image from MastaG for it, but no experience at all with that type of hardware... no idea even how it is built/hardware/etc.

The goal is to try to trick the box executing a script to modify the passwd file in /etc, to have it with no password.

Difficult to help you more, we gave you all the "tracks" to try now it's your turn to dig on all options and hack into it with all the tips we gave you.

You have 2 ways in, the Plugins like JAM or TSPanel (that uses JAM or FAM indexes as well), or the /hdd or any storage device, this naturally only if you can run a script in that image via the GUI or run it as a plugin (like we do via the JAM/FAM/TSPanel).
