You can do the backup of your box with the Plugins you can find on the Plugin section,

You have various "backup" tools, with GUI or Command Line,

- FlashBackup Plugin For Internal & External Images

You should have the choice, just the important is that you check the file, to see if it's larger than the "original" file you or that was used to flash the box. You can even do few backups with each tool so you have them all in case you need.
