You have to check first, one very important point, the switch to DVB-T2 will be also to H265, or will it stay in H264 ? The H264/H265 is hardware in the box, so your actual DM500HD is capable of H264 only... check it. If you need H265 you will need hardware such as the DM52xHD (Combo box, Sat or Cable-Terrestrial) or DM900UHD/DM920UHD (that has a Dual Tuner with Sat + Cable or Terrestrial DVB-T2). For DM52xHD and DM9x0UHD you have the Japhar OpenPLi images available. H265 is mainly for UHD boxes, H264 is for HD boxes (and above naturally).
