The RESET of a box is done thru the reflashing of the FLASH image. It is erasing all the Flash and replacing it with the new image that is "clean" with no configuration, as you would receive the box from factory.

Then sometimes some plugin/images modify the BIOS settings, and there is the option to reset it as explained.

You need to find a PC with an RS232 real port, as using USB-RS232 is most of time resulting with failure... (thru Service port and RS232 cable).

If you have no Telnet/FTP, this could be due to a corrupted image/software in the box (image), so you need to reflash the Flash memory with a new image... this is done thru the RS232 with JapharFlasher/DreamUp or via the http Webif interface. If you have ping working and you can flash the box, it means the hardware works fine, but image in box fails for Telnet/FTP. Check also if your PC has no firewall set, to block you from using FTP and Telnet... from Win7 you generally have to activate such services and even unblock them on the Firewall.

So all is available, but it really depends of what you are capable of doing in your side with your computer.

Personally I prefer for your box to use Open Images (OpenPLi, OpenBlackHole etc), as the DMM images are 5-7 years old with only DVB-S/S2-T-C Support, no Streaming etc.
