And.. if it's a hardware issue.
Maybe if you measure the Nand flash chip I/O pins it could say something.
They should be in the x.xx Mohm range.
Also check the CE pin (Chip Enable), if it's connected to ground, if not, it disable the nand flash chip, but you are still be able to flash the chip.
