Try to use instead /media/hdd for storing data. Is this the built-in version or did you installed it from an external ipk of crossepg ? Do you use the Satellite download or the Rytec internet download ?

Check and be sure you have enough Flash space available to use it. The image is low in Flash, 3 Mb, and it's important to apply the script to clean the flash to get 6 Mb of free flash.
